Polarisation Plane Rotator

While propagation of plane-polarized radiation along the optical axis of crystalline quartz takes place, polarization twisting happens. Twisting ability of crystalline quartz depends on the wavelength of radiation. The size of the angle of polarization twisting is directly proportional to the thickness of the crystalline plate.
